During the first Sydney lockdown, my little $20 lava lamp became a means of escape. This simple device was able to transform my living room from a monotonous cage into a lounge of relaxation. After many hours of staring at its trance inducing blobs I wanted more. I wanted to go inside.

The Experience

“Come with me and you’ll be in a world of giant lava lamp.”

MELTED is a VR experience that will take you on a trip into the heart of the lamp. From the base of the 70-meter high melting chamber, you become the centerpiece of the experience. When the searing sun starts to heat things up let your worries and stresses melt away with the floating blobs.

MELTED does not end until you take the VR headset off. You are free to melt indefinitely.

WARNING: Once your mind has melted you may not want to return.

MELTED will never be the same experience twice. Each time you enter the lamp your trip will be unique to you.
